The CAMOPED active motion splint is revolutionising functional, post-operative physiotherapy. CAMOPED allows passive exercising of the injured leg through the healthy, contralateral leg. As rehabilitation progresses, both legs are actively moved up to co-ordinated mobility exercises and working against resistance.
A combination of active/passive movement strengthens atrophied groups of muscles and allows early, functional, proprioceptive training of the joint-stabilizing muscles. CAMOPED is also suitable for physical thrombosis prophylaxis and as a mobility device in hospitals.
Above mentioned facts help to promote the success of the surgery, actively incorporates patients in rehabilitation and accelerates the treatment process (see ATOS Study).
